Dr. Call has more than five years of experience in radiation oncology and joins the Alaska Cancer Treatment Center from Cancer Care Northwest in Spokane, Washington and brings a wealth of expertise to our team.
He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and did his residency in radiation oncology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. His training included modern radiation techniques, focusing on Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Gamma Knife radiosurgery, Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) and High Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy for prostate, breast and gynecologic malignancies.
Dr. Call’s research throughout his career has been published in several scientific journals and in topic-related radiation oncology books. He has presented his research at national and international oncology conferences. Dr. Call is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Washington and Clinical Assistant Professor at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University. He regularly assists in the training of medical students and residents.
