Paul Berger, MD
St. Luke's Medical Center
When I arrived in the Lehigh Valley region in 2005, I distinguished myself for my specialized experience in the treatment of complex urologic and neurologic diseases causing urinary incontinence and pelvic pain. In addition to enjoying practicing general urology, my special interests include the surgical management for urethral stricture disease, incontinence and neurourology (including Interstim), cryosurgical therapy for prostate and renal cancers, management of pelvic pain and hormonal deficiencies in men.
I graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in biochemistry from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and then proceeded to earn my medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. I continued my preliminary post-graduate training in general surgery and completed residency training in urology at Penn State University Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA. I received the American Board of Urology board certification in 2002.
Fluent in the Spanish and German languages, I remain active in the community by supporting prostate cancer screenings. I have been volunteering my surgical and medical skills to international medical missions in underserved regions of the world where medical and humanitarian crisis exist.
In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, participating in church activities and woodworking. I build musical instruments.
