Manuel's SpaceOAR Hydrogel Story

In 2018 during an annual physical, Manuel’s primary care physician discovered he had a high PSA. He was scheduled for a biopsy, which is when  his oncologist discovered that he had stage 4 prostate cancer.

Manuel and his medical team opted for radiation therapy to treat his prostate cancer along with SpaceOAR Hydrogel potentially help minimize the side effects that can occur as a result of radiation therapy.

More than 60,000 American men opt to treat their prostate cancer with radiation every year.1 Radiation therapy uses high-powered energy to kill cancer cells and can be delivered in two ways: external beam radiation or brachytherapy (internal radiation).
