Levi Deters, MD
Dr. Deters was born and raised in the Inland Northwest, and is a proud graduate of Gonzaga Preparatory School. He attended Wheaton College in Illinois and went on to attend the University Of Washington School Of Medicine as part of the WWAMI program. After medical school, he completed a six year urology residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. He spent the first two years in the general surgery program managing critically ill patients, as well as learning surgical technique from the trauma, vascular, plastics, cardiothoracic, and transplant surgical services. He then completed four years of urology training that included both adult and pediatric patients.
Besides offering a wide spectrum of treatments, Dr. Deters believes that effective patient care starts with patient education and an open discussion with the patient about their condition and their options, this often includes a multidisciplinary approach.
Dr. Deters is board certified by the American Board of Urology. He currently holds privileges at Sacred Heart Medical Center, Holy Family Hospital, Deaconess Medical Center, and Valley Hospital. He is pleased to return to Spokane to serve the community. He holds faculty positions at both University of Washington as well as Washington State University, and is involved in designing the curriculum for the new medical school coming to Spokane in 2017.
